The collections also include many samples that are not in databases. For more detailed information on, for example, samples of a species, please contact the museum curator.

Insects and plants – GBIF

Vascular plants and insects have been saved in the international GBIF portal (www.gbif.org). From the portal, you can search the material of the Jyväskylä University Museum with a dataset or publisher search.

Finnish Biodiversity Information Facility – laji.fi

The FinBIF portal laji.fi collects species data from different sources. The Jyväskylä University Museum’s material is also available in this database (www.laji.fi) and can be searched by filtering the materials of the University of Jyväskylä.
