
Jyväskylä University Museum
The Jyväskylä University Museum is part of the Open Science Centre and it records, researches, preserves and presents the cultural and natural heritage of the University of Jyväskylä and its predecessors. The collections of the museum consist of cultural history and natural science collections, a botanical garden and the University's art collection. The collections are part of a global network of university museums on the history of science and are accessible to researchers, teachers, students, public authorities and citizens.
The museum's exhibitions are located in the Soihdu Exhibition Centre on Seminaarinmäki and in the Natural History Museum in Harju. Admission to the exhibitions is free. The University Botanical Garden is also part of the museum. You can find out more about the university's research and activities at the Science for All events, open to all.
