Jyväskylä University Museum
It was here, in 1863, that Finnish-language teacher education began. The foundation of the world-famous Finnish school system was created at our university.
The University Museum takes you to the story of the University of Jyväskylä - to the past and present of one of the largest and most popular multidisciplinary universities in Finland.
The Seminaarinmäki campus of the University of Jyväskylä and Equality in Education are awarded with the first European Heritage Label in Finland.
The University Museum collects, preserves, studies and exhibits items related to the past and present of the University of Jyväskylä, cultural history and the diversity of nature.
